What can you do with a shot of espresso? The great thing about having your own home coffee bar is that you can easily whip up your favorite beverages, try out new ones, or even create your own. 
De’Longhi coffee machines make it really easy prepare classic drinks, but if you’re in the mood to mix it up a bit, here are some simple but great recipes to try out!

Choco Espresso MallowsThis drink pays homage to a childhood favorite, but with an extra kick from the espresso. Great for all-nighters!

Ingredients:

1 shot of espresso
1 pack of powdered chocolate premix
1 shredded choco bar
4-5 pieces plain marshmallowshot water


Prepare the espresso using the De’Longhi coffee machine. Dilute the powdered chocolate premix in hot water, then mix in the espresso. Top with marshmallows, and garnish with chocolate flakes. 

AffogatoAn Italian dessert, the term “affogato” actually means “drowned”, which is quite apt considering this requires drowning the ice cream in espresso. Dish up this classy dessert and impress your guests!

Ingredients:
1 shot of espresso
1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
chopped nuts
chocolate sauce

Prepare a shot of espresso using the De’Longhi coffee machine. Once ready, scoop out globes of vanilla ice cream, then pour the espresso over kit. Drizzle with chocolate sauce, and top with chopped nuts.

Iced Mocha -A café favorite, this drink blends coffee and chocolate for that happy sweetness. You can also mix it up and replace the chocolate sauce with caramel or white chocolate!

Ingredients:
1 espresso shot
30g chocolate sauce
200-250ml cold milk
ice cubes

Pour chocolate sauce in a glass, followed by the ice cubes. Pour in the cold milk, then top it with an espresso shot. 

Espresso Tonic-Not your typical coffee, but a must-try. One for the road!

Ingredients :
2 shots of espresso
1.5 dl tonic water
1 lime wedge
ice

Prepare a double espresso with your De’Longhi coffee machine and leave to cool. Fill up a glass with ice, then squeeze some lime juice on top of it. Put in the tonic water, then gently pour in the slightly cooled double espresso. 

Espresso Martini-In the mood for a nightcap? Mix two faves — caffeine and alcohol — in one drink. 

Ingredients:
2 ounces vodka
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1 ounce espresso, freshly brewed or cold brew concentrate
3 coffee beans for garnish

Pour in the vodka, espresso, and simple syrup in a shaker filled with ice. Shake until well-chilled, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with the coffee beans. You can also opt to mix in some coffee liquor for an added kick.
